2018 saw Mercedes AMG F1 clinch their 5th Formula 1 Constructors Championship title. Working alongside DK Motorsport, PGVM was asked to collect all 5 of the championship winning cars, worth anywhere between £50 million and priceless, and to take them all to both Mercedes factories for team photo shoots.
With such a priceless cargo and a very tight time limit with the winter days, this proved to be quite a challenge. Also with the sheer size of modern day F1 cars you can't fit 5 in a regular race trailer. Using our Rolfo Aurgia Deluxe covered car trailer with race style tail lift this made loading much easier as You would push the car on to the lift and then once in place push the car on to the deck. With middle deck having a flip option a car can then be pushed into place underneath. Once the top deck has 3 cars loaded the bottom deck can be made to lay flat and the cars are pushed on with ease.
Having the right equipment and the experience of dealing with such high profile cars made both photo shoots go off with a hitch. .
The Lohr is the new addition to the PGVM fleet with this model being the first in the UK.
